*The Adventure Continues*

DAY ELEVEN!!
Today we were on out way to Corfu, one of the isles of Greece but before we made our way onto an overnight ferry, we took a detour past Pompeii and has a tour amongst the ancient ruins.
We then made way for the overnight ferry 🙂 It wasn’t sure exciting but nevertheless at the end of it we would be in Greece! Iwas outside at the port in Italy and was taking a few snaps up the side of the ferry. An employee came running out of the cabin saying you can’t be down here but I told him another employee said I could take a few photos then be on my way. To my surprise, he invited me into the main cabin where the captain of the ship was, so take photos from the front of the ferry! SAY WHAT! I got VIP access! YAY!
We didn’t have beds as such on this ferry but more like a theatre room with high back chairs to sleep in. NOT COMFY AT ALL. There was no one in the chair next to me so I could try and lay down across the two chairs but it was squishy and not flat. I didn’t get much sleep at all, maybe a few hours at max.
With our first ferry breaking down in the middle of the Adriatic, we then missed out second ferry LITERALLY by seconds! Matt (our bus driver) did his best to make up time in transit between the two ferries but as we rolled into the dock, the ferry door was lifting and the ferry was “ferrying” away. *SUPER SAD FACE*. This meant from 4am to 6am, we were stuck basically on the side of the road. We found this small Greek bakery that made this awesome pastries so we stuffed our faces and bellies, just to waste time. 🙂
Just as the sun was rising, another ferry made it’s way into the dock and we boarded.
Day eleven didn’t include a whole lot but some days are like that.
