It’s been a while since I posted something decent on here. Apologies. It’s not that work as been hectic; to tell you the truth, it’s been pretty quiet, but with Christmas coming up and working at the Tea Rooms every weekend, I haven’t had a chance to jump on my laptop (which I am also yet to give you a write up on) and post something.
I’ve finished work for the year (at my PA job) and had my Christmas break up last Friday night. We went to Moonee Valley for their Christmas Night Race Function. Normally, we have an all day event (during the day) at a restaurant and then sometimes party on after we have been kicked out for their dinner session and find a pub to crash at. This year, my boss and I had ran out of ideas on what to do and where to go. Normally, we keep everything a surprise and don’t tell the staff where we are going but because we were stuck on things to do, we asked the staff if anyone has ideas. A few years ago, we attended the Seymour Christmas Race Day and everyone really enjoyed it. I looked up Racing Victoria’s website and the only 2 race meets on the 21st were at Moonee Valley and Wangaratta. We put it to the staff and everyone seemed to be happy with the suggestion. That was easy. Christmas was sorted.
I had a good night but I think, honestly, I would have enjoyed a restaurant more. I’d never been to night racing before so it was a new experience but I wouldn’t say it was a super amazing day like previous years.
